Sunday's Scribblings
!
The beginning of October is here and so is the Autumn Season for our scrapbooking... although I have to confess to finishing a Christmas Album in June this year, so I don't really have a seasonal agenda for my scrapping...Do You? Do you take your inspiration from what's going on around you in the seasons? I may not specifically scrap with the seasons, but I love the Autumn for all the lovely colours on offer "en masse" throughout nature, fantastic!
But the only seasonal activity I find myself forced into is the Christmas whirlwind! LOL.
So, not to let anyone feel left out of talking about Christmas when it's still two and half months away, LOL, I thought I'd let you know that it's... World Card Making Day on October 4th!
WorldCardMakingDay.com will tell you all about it, if you want to get involved, start making those Festive cards. I like to make what I call Scrapbooking cards, which just means using the techniques of scrapbooking on a card such as layering paper and matting, adding embellishments, etc rather than just putting a "topper" onto a white card.
However, I only do the "Full nine yards" on a card for close friends and family... I have to confess (again!) to cheating and just embellishing some shop bought cards for the plethora of other cards which are sent during the festive season! I may well do an article soon about the cheats way of making expensive looking cards!
As for this issue of the newsletter... well I have introduced a new feature - video links!
When you see this little graphic, you will know that there is a video available to view which is related to the article you are reading. Clicking on the picture in an article will take you straight to the video.
So the articles in this issue cover ... How to make a "Random Mini Album" (with videos to view), another organising tip (with a video) and a downloadable Freebie and how to use it.
And whilst talking about downloads, wherever you see this icon there is a free download available... a bit obvious really, but I thought I'd mention it anyway! LOL Ok, now own up... you tried to click this one, didn't you?!
I have Reviewed 2 books by Angie Pederson - lots of information and inspiration in those.
New
